Though Delaney & Bonnie were to release an LP called "Accept No Substitute" and the discs were actually pressed, the project was scrapped by Apple and the LP of the same name later came out on the Electra Label.
2. What band's first album for Apple was released under the name "The Iveys"?

Answer: Badfinger

Released only in Italy, Japan, and Germany, the Iveys' album "Maybe Tomorrow" was later revamped to "Magic Christian Music" as was the group, to Badfinger.
3. Mary Hopkin released her single "Let My Name Be Sorrow" sung in English, French, and Japanese.

Answer: True

An interesting way for Apple to identify with foreign markets.
4. What is the name of the famous jazz group who released two albums on Apple?

Answer: Modern Jazz Quartet

Their two albums "Space" and "Under The Jasmin Tree" were Apple's only dabble in jazz.
5. John Lennon met this street singer in New York in 1972 and produced his only album for Apple.

Answer: David Peel

David Peel's LP "The Pope Smokes Dope" caused quite a stir among censors and radio stations alike. Songs like "F Is Not A Dirty Word" and "Birth Control Blues" were only a couple of gems from this short lived album.
6. Including solo Beatle efforts, how many live albums were released on Apple? Hint: One album has a studio disc and a live disc. Live jam from "All Things Must Pass" does not count.

Answer: 4

"Live Peace In Toronto" by John Lennon Plastic Ono Band, "Concert For Bangladesh" by George and Friends, "Sometime In New York City (Studio & Live)" by John Lennon, and "In Concert 1972" by Ravi Shankar.
7. Yoko Ono was also an artist on the Apple label. Her albums always corresponded with John's. What was the title of Yoko's album that corresponded with John's "Imagine" album?

Answer: Fly

Yoko's 1971 release was a double LP. Yoko sings... There really isn't much more to say about it.
8. What artist released the last non Beatle Apple 45?

Answer: Badfinger

"Apple Of My Eye" was the last from the "artists" in the Apple family. This came from the album "Ass" and was the beginning of the end for Badfinger. After years of lawsuits and contract disputes two of the members of the band committed suicide.
9. Which Apple release is a classical/symphony music album?

Answer: Celtic Requiem

John Tavener had two LPs on Apple. "The Whale" and "Celtic Requiem". "Celtic" was only released in the UK and was not released in America until Apple reissued its catalog on CD in 1992.
10. What artist did not have a hand in producing songs for Badfinger's "Straight Up" album?

Answer: John Lennon

Apple kept Todd Rundgren to finish the album. Though he did most of the work even on the George Harrison produced tracks, he was not given credit. George Harrison's name carried a little more weight, I suppose.
