Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Firestarter"

Answer: The Prodigy

Formed in 1990, the English electronic dance music group The Prodigy are one of the most successful electronic acts of all-time. Primarily a four-piece throughout the 1990s, the band became a trio, consisting of Liam Howlett, Keith Flint, and Maxim Reality, in 2000 when dancer Leeroy Thornhill left the group.

Their 1996 single "Firestarter", which reached number one in the UK, Finland, and Norway, is the second song by The Prodigy that appears in the movie. It plays as the Angels fight Seamus O'Grady (played by Justin Theroux) and his gang in the cargo ship at San Pedro Harbor and continues as they escape from the ship in possession of the Halo rings that they have retaken from Seamus's henchman.

The Angels use a fuel line to create a massive wall of fire to prevent Seamus from following them, however in a scene reminiscent of "Terminator 2", Seamus walks through the fire, apparently unaffected by the flames, and delivers a chilling threat to Dylan (played by Drew Barrymore) before the Angels speed off in a speedboat.
2. "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)"

Answer: Natalie Cole

The daughter of American jazz pianist and vocalist Nat King Cole, Natalie Maria Cole was born on 6th February 1950 in Los Angeles, California. Originally an R&B artist, Natalie Cole moved to a more pop-oriented sound in the late 1980s, and enjoyed a handful of number one singles before she died of congestive heart failure in 2015.

Her 1975 debut single "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" plays during the montage where we see Max (played by Shia LaBeouf) and Bosley (played by Bernie Mac) playing Clue with Bosley's Momma (played by Ja'net DuBois) and some of his friends, Natalie (played by Cameron Diaz) and Pete (played by Luke Wilson) at Pete's high school reunion, and Jason (played by Matt LeBlanc) chatting with Alex's father (played by John Cleese) and telling him what he knows about what Alex (played by Lucy Liu), Natalie and Dylan do for a living.
3. "Last Dance"

Answer: Donna Summer

American singer-songwriter LaDonna Adrian Gaines, known professionally as Donna Summer, was born on 31st December 1948. Known as 'The Queen of Disco', Donna Summer scored thirty-two U.S. Billboard Hot 100 hit singles in her career. Despite being a non-smoker, she died of lung cancer on 17th May 2012.

Her 1978 single "Last Dance" plays as Natalie and Pete dance at Pete's high school reunion. Pete is preparing to ask Natalie about them getting a puppy, but Natalie thinks Pete is going to ask her to marry him, and she ends up in another one of her classic dance sequences.

We hear it as we see U.S. Marshal Ray Carter (played by Robert Patrick) get out of his car at the observatory, with Natalie and Alex stealthily following him, and walk to the main telescope, where he is shot by his apparent co-conspirator Madison Lee (played by Demi Moore).

6. "A Girl Like You"

Answer: Edwyn Collins

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 23rd August 1959, Edwyn Collins was the lead singer for post-punk band Orange Juice before going solo when the band split in 1985. He is best known for his 1994 single "A Girl Like You", which was taken from his third solo studio album "Gorgeous George".

The song plays as we see the four crime families arrive at the Guinness Museum in Hollywood, and interact with Madison Lee's team of helpers (who we later discover to be the Angels in disguise) to exchange money for the location where they believe they will receive the list of people on the Witness Protection List.

These scenes are interspersed with scenes of a huge crowd gathering for the premiere of Jason's new movie, "Maximum Extreme 3".
7. "Block Rockin' Beats"

Answer: The Chemical Brothers

Formed in Manchester, England in 1989, The Chemical Brothers are not actually brothers, but childhood classmates Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. Known for their up-tempo electronic music, the duo are cited as one of the pioneers of bringing the genre into the mainstream during the 1990s.

Their 1997 single "Block Rockin' Beats", which reached number one in the UK, plays as the O'Grady clan turn up on the roof of the Los Angeles Theater and a fight ensues between them, the Angels, Madison Lee, and the unlikely hero of the movie, the Thin Man (played by Crispin Glover), who we discover is in love with Dylan. Unfortunately we don't get to see how things might have progressed between the two of them, as the Thin Man is killed by Seamus.
8. "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting"

Answer: Nickelback

One of the best-selling rock bands of all-time, Canadian rockers Nickelback were formed in Hanna, Alberta in 1995. Led by Chad Kroeger since the beginning, the band have racked up a handful of number one singles, however it is their 2003 cover of the Elton John song "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" that plays during the movie. We hear it as the Angels fight with Madison Lee as she tries to escape in her blue and white sports car, which dramatically crashes, sending Dylan flying down into a subway and Alex through a window into a shop, before crashing through a wall and depositing Madison and Natalie into a theatre.
9. "I Just Want To Be Your Everything"

Answer: Andy Gibb

The younger brother of the Bee Gees, Andrew Roy Gibb was born on 5th March 1958 in Manchester, England. His 1977 single "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" was the first of six singles that reached the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100, and it was also a top ten hit in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

The song plays as the Angels arrive on the red carpet at the premiere of Jason's new movie "Maximum Extreme 3" dressed to impress and thank Bosley for his help in solving the case, Alex tells her father about their recent success, and Pete tells Natalie that he has bought them a puppy.
10. "Any Way You Want It"

Answer: Journey

American rock band Journey were formed in 1973 in San Francisco, California. However it is Journey's 1980 single "Any Way You Want It" that plays in the movie, We hear it at the end of the movie as the end credits roll, and we are shown various clips from the movie, outtakes, and other footage that was not included in the movie.
