Answer: Half Breed

One of Cher's hits from the early 1970's, "Half Breed" is one of my favorites. Written by Mary Deand and Al Capps, the song, which speaks of negative treatment resulting from being of mixed racial heritage, was a Top 10 hit in 1973.

Answer: Lovin' You

"Lovin' You", which was written by the late Minnie Riperton and her husband, Richard (Dick) Rudolph, was a Top 10 hit in 1974. "Lovin' You" had a light instrumental arrangement which was the perfect showcase for Riperton's clear, multi-octave voice. Sadly, Riperton passed away in 1979 at age 31.
