"Billy's Got A Gun" is the final track on the "Pyromania" CD, released in January 1983. By the end of that year it had sold over six million copies in the US, although it did not do very well in the band's home country, the UK. In 2002 the first episode of VH1's "Ultimate Albums" series was on the making of "Pyromania".

A performance of the Overture at a lunatic asylum had to be halted as the inmates became overexcited by the music!

"Rock Around The Clock" was released as the B-side to "Thirteen Women (And Only One Man In Town)" on the Decca label, which used the title "(We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock". It featured on the opening credits of the film "Blackboard Jungle" in 1955, and became a major hit.
It was the first Rock n Roll song to reach the top of the US Chart where it remained for eight weeks.
The film "Rock Around The Clock" was released in 1956.
The song returned to the American Chart in 1974, when it was used in the film "American Graffiti".

Lecil Travis Martin was born in Ovilla Texas, in 1931. He adopted the name "Boxcar Willie" from a song he wrote of the same name. He was in the USAF until 1976 when he left to pursue a full time career in music, going on to sell over 10 million records world wide. Willie died of leukemia in 1999, aged 67.
