Answer: The Bridge House

Murphy released "Mods Mayday '79" on his own Bridgehouse record label. It was the inclusion of the Secret Affair tracks, "Time for Action" and "Let Your Heart Dance", which ensured the future iconic status of the album, as they were both Top 40 hits within weeks of the Mayday show.
2. Which band were given the job of opening the show when the band who were originally booked failed to show up?

Answer: Mick Talbot

On the original vinyl release, the Merton Parkas' songs were pulled as they had signed a recording deal with Beggars Banquet Records, but their set is on the CD of the show which includes all the surviving recordings from the day.
