Although all of these artists have had numerous number one hits according to Billboard, only Kristine W hit the number one spot eight consecutive times. She started her string of hits with her debut single "Feel What You Want" in 1994, and continued with "Land of the Living" and "One More Try" off of her debut album "Land of the Living" in 1996.

It took almost 4 years for another album, but in the fall of 2000, her sophomore album, "Stronger" hit the dance charts with her singles "Stronger" and "Lovin' You".

Amazingly, LaToya Jackson sang under the pseudonym "Toy" with the song "Just Wanna Dance" when it was first released in mid-2004. This song was later released on her album "Startin' Over". After being remixed by the likes of Chris Cox (formerly of Thunderpuss), the song became a minor club hit in the summer of 2004.

"Me Against the Music" DID go to the number one spot, but it was not released on Madonna's "American Life" album. This song only appeared on Britney Spears' album "Britney". "American Life" spawned 5 massive club hits-- "Die Another Day", the theme song to "James Bond: Die Another Day", the title track "American Life", "Hollywood", "Nothing Fails", and "Love Profusion".

Sophie B. Hawkins severed ties with Sony, her former label, before releasing "Wilderness" on Trumpet Swan Records. The first single, "Beautiful Girl", was remixed by Junior Vasquez and immediately flew up the charts to garner her first Billboard number one dance hit.

Even while trying to beat breast cancer, Anastacia still went into the studio day after day to record her self-titled third album. Her fans thanked her for the new music by making "Anastacia" the number one album in most European countries. The first single, "Left Outside Alone" went directly to the number one position on the Billboard Dance Charts in the United States.

Gay adult film star Colton Ford released "Signed Sealed Delivered", a duet with dance queen Pepper Mashay, in early 2004. Pepper Mashay has had her own string of number one hits, including "Dive into the Pool", "I Got My Pride", and "I Can't Stop". "Signed Sealed Delivered" was originally recorded by Stevie Wonder all the way back in 1970.

"The Jerry Springer Show", which has consistently been voted "The Worst Show in Television History!" by most critics time and time again in the United States, spawned a musical appropriately entitled "The Jerry Springer Opera". This musical not only won many awards in England, but it was reworked to move across the pond to Broadway in New York City.

This musical included the song "I Just Wanna Dance", which was remixed in 2004 and became a huge dance floor draw.

The song "How Did You Know?" was first released by Kurtis Mantroix presents Chamonix in the summer of 2003. The song immediately flew up the charts, thanks in part to some great mixes by well-established remixers. In the spring of 2004, Mynt featuring Kim Sozzi introduced the same song. Based on sales, Chamonix's version was the more popular version, but this song now holds the record as the first song to be redone less than a year after its original release and to climb the charts both times.
