Written by Natalie and her songwriting/production team of Chuck Jackson and the late Marvin Yancy, "Sophisticated Lady (She's a Different Lady)" was featured on her second LP, "Natalie", which went on to become her second gold LP. The song won a Grammy award in 1976 for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance - Female.

The title song from her debut LP, "Inseparable" was one of two single releases. "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" was the other release. Both singles were # 1 R & B hits. By the way, the "Inseparable" LP went gold.

Natalie was the first African-American artist to win the Best New Artist Grammy.
