Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Room At The Top' or 'Vive Le Rock'

Answer: Adam Ant

'Goody Two Shoes' would have helped, wouldn't it?
2. 'Him' or 'Answering Machine'

Answer: Rupert Holmes

That's right -- the old Pina Colada Man sang more than 'Escape'
3. 'Together Forever'

Answer: Rick Astley

Would 'Never Gonna Give You Up' have helped -- or did the two songs sound so much alike that you didn't know they weren't the same song?
4. 'Do You Want Crying' or 'That's the Way'

Answer: Katrina and the Waves

Not as easy if you aren't 'Walking on Sunshine.' On a purely personal note, I loved these guys and miss them terribly!
5. 'Hands Tied' or 'Goodbye to You'

Answer: Scandal

Everybody remembers that cheesy video for 'The Warrior.' Lead singer Patty Smythe is now married to tennis great John McEnroe!
6. 'No More Words' or 'The Metro'

Answer: Berlin

'Take My Breath Away' was pretty much the only one that saw radio play. Berlin were blacklisted after releasing 'Sex (I'm A...)' but compared to a lot of modern stuff, it's pretty tame.
7. 'Cruel Summer'

Answer: Bananarama

Released before their only number one hit, 'Venus'
8. 'China In Your Hand'

Answer: T'Pau

'Heart and Soul' was a huge hit in America, but 'China In Your Hand' was their biggest hit in the UK.
9. 'I Didn't Mean To Turn You On'

Answer: Robert Palmer

Guess he really was 'Addicted to Love'
10. 'He's The Greatest Dancer'

Answer: Sister Sledge

released before their signature hit 'We Are Family'
11. 'Ladies Night' or 'Joanna'

Answer: Kool and the Gang

We only hear 'Celebration' now -- at weddings!
12. 'We Connect'

Answer: Stacy Q

After 'Two of Hearts' nobody paid her any more attention.
13. 'Fake Friends' or 'Crimson and Clover'

Answer: Joan Jett

These hit in the afterglow of 'I Love Rock And Roll'
14. 'Pleasure and Pain'

Answer: The Divinyls

Hmmm. Ties right in with 'I Touch Myself' doesn't it!
15. 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Can't Get You Out of My Head'

Answer: Kylie Minogue

Let's face it. Anybody can have a hit with 'The Locomotion'. Although, recently Kylie has reemerged on the US scene with 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' and 'Love at First Sight' -- certainly nowhere else in the world has come close to considering her a One Hit Wonder, so this one should've been easy!
16. 'Love Parade' or 'Indian Summer'

Answer: Dream Academy

Nothing ever recaptured the magic of 'Life in a Northern Town'
17. 'Kids in America' or 'Chequered Love'

Answer: Kim Wilde

Most people remember her smash remake of 'You Keep Me Hanging On' but after its release, even Ms Wilde admitted it was 'dreadful'
18. 'Kyrie'

Answer: Mr. Mister

It was the follow-up to 'Broken Wings'
19. 'The Sun Always Shines On TV' or 'The Living Daylights'

Answer: A-Ha

This Norwegian band tried for more hits for several years, then broke up, then released a new album in 1999. They still haven't equalled their only big US hit 'Take On Me'
20. 'Looking Over My Shoulder' or 'What About Love'

Answer: Til Tuesday

'Voices Carry' was huge but each successive single was smaller until they just faded away. Heart did have a huge hit entitled 'What About Love' but they certainly aren't one- or two- hit wonders!
