Bird Dog" was a big hit for the Everly Brothers, reaching number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, and R&B charts, and number one on the Billboard Country Chart. It was a number one hit in Australia, Canada and the UK.

Brothers Don and Phil commenced their career singing in their father's radio show in the 1940's, known as the "Everly Family". After heading out on their own, and becoming a duo they signed with Cadence Records in 1957 and had their first hit, "Bye Bye Love", the following year. They have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Country Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. They have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and are ranked at number 43 on the "Rolling Stone" Magazine list of the "100 Greatest Artists of all Time."

Vera Margaret Welch was born in 1917 in Essex, UK. She took her grandmother's maiden name as a stage name so becoming Vera Lynn. During World War II she was known as "the Forces' Sweetheart" in Britain. She had her own radio show during the war performing songs requested by British troops abroad and also sending them messages. She also toured during the war and gave many concerts for the troops in India, Burma and Egypt. She was made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1975. At the age of 92 her newly released album "We'll Meet Again: The Very Best of Vera Lynn" became the number one best selling album on the British Album chart, making her the oldest living artist to achieve this feat.
