Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Any true Bruce fan checks in on the Bruce websites from time to time. A certain long established Bruce site ran a number of fake stories for April Fools Day 2005, one of which was the so-called introduction of a Bruce inspired ipod. What was the alleged name of the MP3 player?

Answer: iBoss

There were a few fantastic April Fools jokes on "Backstreets" in 2005, including the tale that Bruce was "stripping down" to such an extreme for his "Devils and Dust" tour, that he wouldn't actually be on stage himself!
2. Fans of Bruce would be aware of his collaborations with Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes, but which of their following songs originated from the pen of Bruce himself?

Answer: "The Fever", "Talk to Me" and "You Mean So Much To Me"

"The Fever" is originally from the "I Don't Want To Go Home" album, although Bruce occasionally does it himself. "Talk To Me" appears on the 1978 "Hearts of Stone" album, while "You Mean So Much To Me" is also on the 1976 album "I Don't Want To Go Home". Bruce also penned "Hearts of Stone", which appeared on the same titled album, while the other songs mentioned were all the work of Steven Van Zandt.
3. Always up for a good cause, Bruce appeared on the 10th anniversary edition of the "For Our Children" album. What song did he perform?

Answer: Chicken Lips and Lizard Hips

This song was written by John and Nancy Cassidy. Bob Dylan performed "This Old Man". James Taylor sung "Getting To Know You", and Elton John "The Pacifier".
4. Bruce sang along with Gary "U.S" Bonds on which track on Gary's "Back in 20" album?

Answer: Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks

Gary "U.S" Bonds sang this track with both Bruce and Southside Johnny. Southside also sang on "Take Me Back", while Gary performed alone on the other two tracks mentioned.
5. Bruce was deservedly inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in which year and by whom?

Answer: 1999 - Bono

Bruce returned the favour by inducting U2 into The Hall Of Fame in 2005. Both Clapton and Dylan are previous inductees.
6. Bruce produced and wrote two tracks for which 1995 album by Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers?

Answer: American Babylon

Bruce accompanied Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers for 8 days on the accompanying tour. They also both played at "Flood Aid" in 2004 after Hurricane Ivan.
7. Bruce's 2005 solo album release, "Devils and Dust" has an "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" warning on the cover. For which song is that related?

Answer: Reno

For those of you that have the album, and have read the words...enough said. For those that don't, I won't dare quote the offending lyric here.
8. Bruce was credited as a vocalist on one track of a 1990 album release by an E-Street Band member. The song was entitled "Valentine". Who was the artist?

Answer: Nils Lofgren

The album was "Silver Lining". Other famous names credited were Ringo Starr and Clarence Clemons.
9. We know Bruce is a fan of the great Curtis Mayfield, but what song did he contribute to "A Tribute To Curtis Mayfield" - the 1993/94 Warner Brothers CD?

Answer: Gypsy Women

Although I'd have liked Bruce to have recorded "People Get Ready", it was Rod Stewart who actually did a fine job. "It's Alright" was sung by Steve Winwood and "Billy Jack" by Lenny Kravitz.
10. "The screen door slams..." - the dress of which girl waves?

Answer: Mary

If you do not know that answer then go listen to the "Born To Run" album. I wish I could hear it for the first time again.
Thanks for playing!
