Bread was a soft rock band from Los Angeles active from 1969 through 1977, featuring David Gates. Their biggest hit was their first single in 1970, "Make it With You". In 1969 Rare Earth was the first all white band signed by Motown. Originally known as The Sunliners they changed their name in 1968. "I Just Want to Celebrate" was released in 1971 and included on the "One World" album. The song peaked at number seven on the U.S. charts.
