Queen is with no doubt the greatest band ever. The following lyrics all come from songs that were at some point Queen hits. Some are pretty obscure songs but I should think that you would know at least one of them.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Do you know what song these lyrics are from? . It was first released in 1973. "And then I saw Him in the crowd."

Answer: "Jesus"

All these songs were first released on Queen's 1973 debut album "Queen". "Queen" wasn't considered a platinum hit until later though, but then again how many debut albums are platinum hits on release?
2. This song was first released in 1974 and was named after Freddie Mercury's childhood fantasy world. Do you remember what its name was? "Begone with you, you shod and shady senators."

Answer: "Seven Seas of Rhye"

All these songs were first released on "Queen II" in 1974 ("Seven Seas of Rhye" also featured on the album "Queen") . "Seven Seas of Rhye" has become a well-known Queen song and features an old English chorus at the end.
3. This song was written by John Deacon and was his first composition for Queen. Name it. "Don't you know honey that love's a game? It's always a hit or miss."

Answer: "Misfire"

All these songs were first released on the album "Sheer Heart Attack". I don't get why the song called "Sheer Heart Attack" was released on a different album, after this one. According to John himself, he never sang for Queen at all.
4. This song was written by Queen guitarist Brian May and, like most of the other songs on the album "A Kind of Magic", was featured on the soundtrack for the movie "Highlander" in 1986. What song is it? "Here I am. I'm the master of your destiny."

Answer: "Gimme The Prize (Kurgan's Theme)"

All these songs were released on the album "A Kind Of Magic". "Gimme The Prize (Kurgan's Theme)" shows Queen's heavy metal abilities and origins. Out of the nine songs on the album, six featured on the "Highlander" soundtrack. The three songs that didn't feature on the soundtrack are "Pain Is So Close To Pleasure", "Friends Will Be Friends" and "One Vision".
5. This song was first released in 1989 and has links to a real person. Name it! "Who said that my party was all over?"

Answer: "Khashoggi's Ship"

A trick question. Did you guess "Party"? Well, if you didn't, good on you. All these songs were first released on the album "The Miracle" . I am a diehard Queen fan and when I started this quiz I hadn't heard the song "Khashoggi's Ship" just yet. The person in question is Adnan Khashoggi and he owned a ship, the Nabila, which is now called the "Kingdom 5KR", and it was used in the James Bond film "Never Say Never Again" where it appeared as the "Flying Saucer". Khashoggi himself is known for his involvement in the Lockheed bribery scandals.
6. This song strangely features Brian on lead vocals and Freddie on backing vocals and is primarily about Brian's experience after losing his childhood pet cat. "She came without a farthing, a babe without a name."

Answer: "All Dead, All Dead"

All of these songs were first released on "News Of The World". "All Dead, All Dead" is a generally well-rated song and the album was another Queen hit (no surprises there).
7. I can't say the first words of this song's lyrics, they being the name of this song. What I can say though is that this song was released in 1991 on the album "Innuendo". What is its title? "...Push the envelope, don't sit on the fence."

Answer: "Ride The Wild Wind"

All these songs were first released on the album "Innuendo", one of Queen's last studio albums. Just as throw-in info, it's interesting to read the lyrics of "The Show Must Go On" as they say:

"Inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking, but my smile... still stays on"

It makes me feel like Queen had a message in their lyrics sometimes.
8. This song was the last song that Freddie composed and sung in his life. Brian had to sing the last verse because Freddie was unable to sing at that point. It also doesn't really feature Brian's famous homemade Red Special guitar. Which song is this? "I don't want to sleep with you."

Answer: "Mother Love"

All these songs were first released on the album "Made In Heaven". "Made In Heaven" was the last album Freddie ever did. When he passed away, the remaining band members decided to finish it off, as they felt Freddie would have wanted it that way.
9. This song also deals with Freddie's childhood fantasy world. It is also notable for its voice overdubs, which feature prominently in "Bohemian Rhapsody". What's the song? "In the land where horses born with eagle wings, and honey bees have lost their stings..."

Answer: "My Fairy King"

All these songs were first released on the album "Queen", their debut album. I think that it wasn't bad for a debut album. What I mean is that most bands get little attention from their debut album but Queen went on to become a phenomenal success from the 1970's right through to today, though they're not the same without Freddie (dead) or John (retired).
10. This song was written by Freddie and features Brian playing ukelele and banjo and was first released on the album "Sheer Heart Attack". What song was it? "Bet your bottom dollar bill you're a playboy. Yeah! Yeah!"

Answer: "Bring That Back, Leroy Brown"

All these songs were first released on the album "Sheer Heart Attack" in 1974.
