Eric Clapton is nicknamed "Slowhand". The reference is not from his style of play though. Eric Clapton was a member of the band The Yardbirds, also featuring Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. One of my favourite albums is "Unplugged", released in 1992. An acoustic version of "Tears in Heaven" is on the album. A very sad song about the death of his son Conor in 1991.

Wings was formed by the ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and Denny Laine, the ex-member of the Moody Blues. Other members of the band were his wife Linda McCartney and the last musician was Denny Seiwell, who was the band's drummer. Henry McCullough joined the band in 1971. A big hit for Wings was "Live and Let Die" the theme music for the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die".
