Answer: The Sweet

"Fox on the Run" peaked at the number two position on the UK singles chart and made the fifth spot in the US Billboard charts.
Members of the band in 1975 were Brian Connolly - lead vocals, Andy Scott - lead guitar, Steve Priest - bass and Mick Tucker - drums. The Sweet also released an album called "Strung Up" which was released in November 1975.

Answer: Bay City Rollers

Can you remember the term "Rollermania"? Well that was the term given to the boy band the Bay City Rollers. The band had a huge success around the globe in the early to mid 70s with hits of "Remember (Sha-La-La)" (1974), "Shang-A-Lang" (1974), "Bye, Bye, Baby" (1975), "Saturday Night" (1975/76 America). The Bay City Rollers had their own 20 week TV series called "Shang-a-Lang".

Answer: David Bowie

Released on the 18th August 1975 "Fame" spent two weeks at the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100. The single only reached 17 on the UK singles chart.
The album "Young Americans" was released on March 7, 1975. The album charted in both the US (number nine) and the UK (number two).

Answer: Silver Convention

Silver Convention was a studio group formed by Munich-based producers Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze. "Fly, Robin, Fly" made it to the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1975. The lyrics to the song only had six words in total. The first hit record for Silver Convention in the UK was "Save Me" released in 1974.

Answer: Supertramp

Supertramp are a British progressive rock band formed in 1969. The band changed its name to Supertramp in the early part of 1970.
"Dreamer" was taken from the album "Crime of the Century" released in 1974. The single "Dreamer" reached the 13th position in the UK single charts.
Band members in 1975 were Rick Davies - vocals, piano, harmonica, keyboards, Melodica, Roger Hodgson - vocals, piano, guitars, keyboards, Dougie Thomson - bass, Bob Siebenberg - drums, percussion and John Helliwell - saxophone, woodwinds, backing vocal, keyboards, melodica. Other single released in 1975 was "Bloody Well Right".

Answer: Eagles

Eagles released "Lyin' Eyes" on September 7, 1975. The single reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Members of the band in 1975 were Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Bernie Leadon, Randy Meisner and Don Henley. Other singles released by the band in 1975 were "One of These Nights" and "Take It to the Limit".

Answer: Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate was fronted by Errol Brown singer/songwriter. Singles released in 1975 were "Blue Night", "Disco Queen" (number eleven) (May 1975), "A Child's Prayer" (number seven) (August 1975) and "You Sexy Thing", that reached the number two slot in the UK charts. The disco era of the mid 70s was the peak time for the band, having a single in the UK chats every year until 1979. The band recorded 25 hit records that made it into the top 40 single charts. The band broke up in 1986, and Errol Brown went solo.

Answer: Queen

"You're My Best Friend" was taken from the album "A Night at the Opera" released in November 1975. On May 18, 1976 the record was released as a single. Queen stole the show at the "Live Aid" concert in 1985 with their 16 minute slot. Songs played at the concert included "Bohemian Rhapsody", "We Will Rock You", "Radio Ga Ga" and "We Are the Champions". "Bohemian Rhapsody" also released in 1975 made the number one slot for nine weeks. I'm sure most music fans will know who were in the band, but for those who don't the line up was, Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Answer: Art Garfunkel

"I Only Have Eyes For You" made the number one slot in the UK single charts in October 1975. Art Garfunkel was better known as a double act with Paul Simon, known as Simon and Garfunkel. The duo split up in 1970. In 1979 Art Garfunkel had his second number one hit in the UK with "Watership Down", a sound track taken from the movie "Watership Down".

Answer: Bee Gees

"Jive Talkin'" made it to the numberfive spot on the UK singles chart. The track was released on the 31st May, 1975. The Bee Gees was comprised of three brothers: Maurice, Robin, and Barry Gibb. Other band members from 1975 were Blue Weaver, Alan Kendall, and Dennis Bryon. The Bee Gees peaked in 1977 with the sound track for the movie "Saturday Night Fever".
