Answer: Boston

"Please Come to BOSTON" was a song written by Dave Loggins and released in 1974. It is considered a one-hit wonder in the U.S. reaching a peak position of number five on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 charts. Loggins was a prolific songwriter. In addition to this song, he wrote "Pieces of April" which was a minor hit for Three Dog Night, as well as material for country artists such as Reba McIntire, Alabama, Wynonna Judd, Kenny Rogers and Toby Keith.

He is also the cousin of Kenny Loggins.
2. We hop on our private jet for a short trip south. We're to meet with a group of singers called The Ad-Libs. What city are we flying to?

Answer: New York City

"The Boy From NEW YORK CITY" was a high charting hit for The Ad Libs who released this song in late 1964. The group actually hailed from Bayonne, New Jersey, which was right across the river. The song did very well on the charts, peaking at number eight on the Billboard charts in early 1965, but like so many other artists, this group could never again duplicate the success of this song.
3. We get back on the plane and settle into our seats, but we barely have time to settle back when we land again. We're told that we are going to visit with Sir Elton John. Where are we now?

Answer: Philadelphia

"PHILADELPHIA Freedom" was a U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number one charting hit for Elton John in 1975. King was a part owner and a player on the Philadelphia Freedoms, which was a franchise in the fledgling World Team Tennis League.

The composition made it to number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts, and also number five in the U.K. It also was the winner of two Grammy Awards in 1986.
5. Taking advantage of the warm weather, we board our plane and fly south to meet with an artist named Bertie Higgins. Who? Where are we flying to now?

"TALLAHASSEE Lassie" was Cannon's second single and first to hit the top ten in the U.S. It was a number six Billboard hit for him in 1959. Cannon grew up in Massachusetts, and came to the attention of Bob Crewe by way of a demo. Cannon signed a contract and ended up having four different million selling records during his career.

He also was fond of using U.S. locations for his songs and titles, such as "Okefenokee" (his first release), "Way Down Yonder In New Orleans", "Palisades Park", and "Chattanooga Shoeshine Boy" among his other releases.
7. Wow, what a tour. Back on the plane, we're now going to head west. The next person to visit on our itinerary is Fats Domino. Where might we be heading now?

Answer: New Orleans

"Walking to NEW ORLEANS" was a 1960 tune penned by Bobby Charles and set to vinyl by the immortal Fats Domino. Allegedly, Domino was Charles' idol, and when Domino visited with him one time, he invited him to visit with him if he ever was in New Orleans. Charles reply was that he didn't have a car, so he'd have to walk. That's said to be the genus of the song, which Charles later claimed took him about 15 minutes to write. Pretty good writing though.

The song made it to number six on the U.S. Billboard pop Charts, and number two on the R & B charts.

The song never charted for Berry in the U.S., although it was a number six hit in the U.K. when it was released there in 1963. Johnny Rivers took the song in 1964, shortened the title to simply "Memphis", and had a number two hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

This period was Campbell's most successful, with a number of songs reaching high on the charts.

This song was one of his finest. It has been covered by such diverse artists as Ray Charles, Sammy Davis Jr. Kool and The Gang, and R.E.M. just to name a few. It was rewarded with a spot on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" at number 192.
11. Glen Campbell asks if he can fly with us, and we quickly agree. He needs to go out west. He says he's not going to Galveston on this trip, but needs to meet up for a show in this southwestern city. What city are we taking him to?

It reached a peak of number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts that year, and Campbell was given two individual Grammy awards for the song. It is reported to be one of the most covered songs in history with thousands of documented recordings.

It was also rewarded with a spot on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs Of All Time" appearing at number 450.
12. OK, after a short break, our next leg takes us north. We're told we are going to meet the king. Huh? There are no kings in the U.S. Then it dawns on us. We're going to meet "The King". Where are we headed?

Answer: Los Angeles

"L.A. Woman", released in 1971, is the title cut from The Doors final album before the death of Jim Morrison. The song is credited to all four members of the group. Answer: Pasadena
