Jason Cropper (guitar) and Matt Sharp (bass guitar) were founding members of the band circa 1991-1992, and Mikey Welsh (bass guitar) was with the band for its "Green Album" days. Mikey left the band and became an artist, but tragically died in 2011, just days before he was going to attend one of Weezer's concerts in Chicago.

The line is from "I'm Your Daddy" off of the "Raditude Album" and sounds kinda creepy; don't worry, the whole song's lyrical content is kind of creepy. The lyrics were created when Rivers was messing around at home and decided he wanted to write things he's seen in the past few days and combine them. The song was released as one of the album's singles.

Rivers played the drums slightly before he started on guitar. In high school, he would be drumming and rocking out to 80s metal bands like Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, and Slayer. In the song "Back to the Shack", he actually mentions in a line, "Maybe I should play the lead guitar and Pat(the drummer) should play the drums", leaving room for inquiry for what may have very well been the band's possible reality where Pat or Brian would've done lead guitar and vocals, and our beloved Rivers would've been "Ringo-ing" in the background.

=w=eird, huh? This is actually true. Rivers got surgery to extend one of his legs which was two inches shorter than his other. This pain he went through may have inspired some of the dark songs on "Pinkerton." Also, Rivers played soccer when he was little and was apparently pretty good. I wonder how that worked?

Yes, "Weezer United" was a name recommended by Pat Wilson and Brian Bell, but it was decided by the producers that the album would go under the band's name like two of their previous albums.("green" and the "blue")The possibility for this name was discovered in an interview in late 2007 with rhythm guitarist Brian Bell, where multiple sources were asking questions about the album's possible names.

He told them that "Weezer United", among other names, was a serious possibility and that the cover "may have some correlation to the covers of the self-titled albums. Who knows? We might even make it our rainbow album", as stated by Bell.

Yeah, these are some of the lyrics that really stick out in Weezer songs. The "jump off a bridge with Daddy" was never in a song but it sure could've been in say, a rough version of "Say it Ain't So". The "I'm dumb, she's a lesbian" is in the song "Pink Triangle", "stupid singing shows" is in "Back to the Shack", and "I'm not a happy meal" (Probably the funniest sarcastic line ever) is in the song "I've Had it Up to Here."
