"Helen Wheels" was Paul McCartney's name for his Land-Rover.
The song was recorded during the "Band On The Run" album sessions in Lagos, Nigeria. It was not included in the UK version of the album, but was on the US release.
It was released as a single in the UK in 1973 and reached number 12 on the pop charts.
2. "Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses": "Eighteen wheels and a dozen roses Ten more miles on his four day run..."

Released in 1988, the song topped the Billboard Country Charts in both the USA and Canada.
It was one of five country number ones that the West Virginia native released.
"Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses" was also named as single of the year and song of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. It was the Country Music Association single of the year, noth in 1988.

"Between The Wheels" was on the Canadian band's 1984 album "Grace Under Pressure." The album reached number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Believe me when I tell you "Three Wheels On My Wagon" was written by Bob Hillard...and Burt Bacarach.
Initially recorded by Dick Van Dyke in 1961, it was the first song ever credited to Bacarach as a producer.
It was also recorded by The New Christy Minstrels on their 1965 album "The New Christy Minstrels Sing And Play Cowboys And Indians." Lead vocals were by Barry McGuire, who was to leave the band that year and have a Billboard number one with "Eve of Destruction."
5. "This Wheel's On Fire": "Wheel's on fire Rolling down the road..."

"This Wheel's on Fire" was written by by Bob Dylan and Rick Danko and was one of the "Basement Tapes" songs, recorded in April 1967 by Dylan and The Band in rural New York State.
Among the artists to cover the song were Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger & The Trinity. Their version reached number five in the UK in 1968. The Byrds covered it the following year and and Siouxsie and the Banshees reached number 14 with it in the UK in 1988.
Rick Danko earned about $200,000 in royalties which fed The Band's drugs and alcohol use for some time. Danko later said: "Those royalty checks almost killed some of us."
6. "Spinning Wheel": "What goes up must come down Spinnin' wheel got to go 'round..."

"Spinning Wheel" was written by lead singer David Clayton-Thomas. In a 2015 interview he said: "I came up with the song just picking it away on a guitar when I found some chord changes I liked. As for the lyrics, everybody was getting so serious about 'The Revolution' and everything else in those days. It was just kind of a way to say, 'Lighten up people. Take it easy."
It was nominated for three Grammys in 1970, and won for 'Best Instrumental Arrangement'. It was nominated for 'Record of the Year' and 'Song of the Year' and the album won the Grammy for 'Album of the Year' in 1970.
The 1969 single reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Easy Listening chart.
7. "My Wheels Won't Turn" "...But how can I get to Texas When my wheels won't turn."

Formed in the early 1970s, BTO were a Canadian rock combo that scored a number of well-received singles and albums in both their native land and the USA.
"You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" topped the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian singles charts in 1974. The following year "Hey You" topped the Canadian charts.
The lineup changed a number of times over the years.
Trivia note: BTO were rejected by 25 record labels before signing to Mercury.
8. "Wheels On The Train": "The wheels on the train go round and round Round and round.."

Credited to James Coffey, this was one of the songs on 'Kids TV Active', a Facebook channel, featuring the cartoon Bob The Train.
It was a reworking of the traditional English children's song "The Wheels On The Bus."

"Heart Like A Wheel" reached number 24 in the Billboard Hot 100 in 1981. It appeared on the album "Circle of Love."
Several other songs entitled "Heart Like A Wheel" also exit. They include one writen by the Canadian singer/songwriter Anna McGarrigle that was covered by Linda Ronstadt, and one by the British band The Human League.
10. "Wagon Wheel": "So rock me momma like a wagon wheel Rock me momma any way you feel..."

Answer: Darius Rucker

Originally recorded by Old Crow Medicine Show, the writing credits go to their member Ketch Secor and Bob Dylan. Secor had heard an out-take of a song on a Dylan bootleg recording, but used only the chorus and the melody, the verses were his.
In 2012 the song was released as a single by Darius Rucker and topped the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. It reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also topped the Country charts in Canada.
