I have it on good authority that the "Strange Brew" will kill what's inside of you! Cream is often considered the first "supergroup" as all three members had already had musical success before joining the band. Cream only stayed together as a band for a few years but they still managed to put out four studio albums. The three members of Cream were Jack Bruce (bass and lead vocals), Eric Clapton (guitar), and Ginger Baker (drums).

"Tears and Rain" is on James Blunt's first album "Back to Bedlam". Before becoming a star, Blunt had served in the British military as a Captain. His squadron was deployed as part of the NATO initiative to stabilize Kosovo in 1999. Blunt has stated in interviews and concerts that the trauma and heartbreak he saw in Kosovo inspired many of his tender feelings in his music.

Ozzy Osborne adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness" while being the vocalist of Black Sabbath. So it is no surprise that he would write a song about Aleister Crowley, a famed occultist and self proclaimed magician. Interestingly, Osborne credits his interest in becoming a musician to the Beatles song "She Loves You". The name of Ozzy's former band, Black Sabbath, was taken from a movie of the same name. "Mr. Crowley" can be found on Osborne's debut solo album, "Blizzard of Ozz", with the talented Randy Rhoads on guitar.

"Careful What You Wish For" is a song on Eminem's 2009 album, "Relapse". Early in Eminem's career, he made it to superstardom with lyrics focused on angst and frustration. He soon became addicted to pain and sleep medications leading to a four-year break from his music from 2005 to 2009. During that time, Eminem went to rehabilitation.

While Eminem has been surrounded by controversy for much of his career, there is no doubt he has had a huge impact on the hip-hop genre.

Answer: Rhiannon

"Rhiannon" was actually written before Stevie Nicks became a member of Fleetwood Mac. Apparently, Nicks flipped to a random page in the book "Triad" and saw the name, Rhiannon. Loving the name inspired her to write a song about a witch who was able to transform into a bird. Nicks came to find out much later that Rhiannon is actually a Welsh goddess of birds and horses. Rather serendipitous I might say.

Answer: I Wish You Would

Taylor Swift's song "I Wish You Would" is part of her album "1989". Swift is known for her storytelling with her music being expressed in many different genres from Country to Pop. This particular song has a rather electronic, pop sound to it. Philanthropy is a huge part of Swift's life, in particular, she has donated to several different flood and tornado relief funds throughout the years.

One of Rush's most successful albums is "Moving Pictures" with "Witch Hunt" being the middle song on side two. "Witch Hunt" starts with the sound of a mob gathering. The lyrics to the song are about people hating others out of xenophobic fear and religious intolerance. Rush often has thought-provoking lyrics on top of complex progressive music.

As a hit from his eponymous debut album, the song "Wish I Didn't Know Now" speaks of the heartbreak of finding out a lover has cheated. Keith has stated the song was inspired by Bob Seger's song "Against the Wind". A listen to Keith's early stuff would lead a listener to believe he had suffered a tragic breakup in life; however, he was happily married the whole time. He has made donating to childhood cancer one of his biggest philanthropic contributions.

"Witchy Woman" was Don Henley's first hit song. He has stated that a combination of a high fever from the flu and a book on Zelda Fitzgerald influenced the lyrics of the song. Zelda, the wife of F. Scott, eventually ended up in a sanatorium with the diagnosis of schizophrenia after years of increasingly erratic behavior. Don Henley and Eagles went on to have a huge career. The name Eagles might stem from a peyote trip in the desert or maybe a love for the bird or something else entirely. Each member will give a different story of the name's origin!

The sad irony behind "Time In a Bottle" is that it was released as a single after Jim Croce had already died in a plane crash. He was finally having success with his music career, but life on the road left him missing his family. Shortly before his death, Croce had written to his wife, Ingrid, that he wanted to give up being a musician so he could stay home and write fiction for a living instead.

He was 30 years old when he died.
