The song appears on Luke's 2011 album "Tailgates and Tanlines", his third, which follows on the success of his previous recordings "I'll Stay With Me" (2007) and "Doin' My Thing" (2009). "You Don't Know Jack" has not been released as a single and is the only track on the album that Luke does not have a writing credit for.

Answer: Short Skirt

Fronted by John McCrea the band was formed in Sacramento in 1991 and is known for the sarcasm laced lyrics of their songs. "Comfort Eagle", their fourth album, was released to positive reviews and whilst the single "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" was only moderately successful on the US Billboard Hot 100, the video for the song became one of the most requested on MTV. Billboard's writers voted it the fifth best of 2001.

Ironically the song "Happy Jack was not included on the UK release of "A Quick One". It had, however, been released as a single in the US and because of its success in reaching number twenty four on Billboard's Hot 100, it was suggested that it be incorporated as the title track for the US release. The Who had completed a cover of the Holland-Dozier-Holland song "Heatwave" for their UK version but it was excluded to make way for "Happy Jack".

One of the standout tracks on Dylan's album and coming in at a little under nine minutes in length "Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts" weaves a complex tale of duplicity. It involves a number of characters including the Jack of Hearts, the leader of a gang of bank robbers and a known womaniser, Big Jim, a tycoon who virtually owns the town and the two women, Lily and Rosemary, who are linked to both men either intimately or as a form of dependence.

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils were a southern rock outfit that formed in Springfield, Missouri in 1972. "Jackie Blue", released in 1974 on their album "It'll Shine When It Shines", was easily their most successful single, peaking at number three on Billboard's Hot 100. The Smashing Pumpkins used the track during their recording sessions though the final cut did not include the song.

Answer: Souljacker Pt 1

The Eels is, essentially, Mark Oliver Everett who is better known by the single alphabetic "E". The rest of the band is made up by a series of rotating members. "Souljacker Pt 1" was released in 2001 and managed to reach number thirty on the UK singles chart. Apart from "Hot Fuzz" it has also featured on the movies "The Condemned" (2007), "Drive Angry" (2011) and the pilot episode of "United States of Tara", which premiered on Showtime in January of 2009.

Answer: Monty Python's Flying Circus

The song was first performed by the troupe in 1969 as part of the ninth episode of their self titled comedy series on BBC1. It was so popular that it became a staple of their live shows. The original skit dealt with a man bored with his current job who yearned for the rugged and manly adventures of a lumberjack. The song, initially, deals with this testosterone fuelled endeavour, however, as it progresses, the protagonist reveals bizarre cross dressing tendencies.

Answer: OutKast

The title character of the song is the mother of Erykah Badu, the former girlfriend of band member Andre 3000. Released in 2001 the song reached number one on Billboard's Hot 100 as well as several other music charts around the world. It helped lift the album to number two on Billboard's 200 list and earned the band a Grammy Award in 2002 for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or a Group.

Answer: Billy Joel

Joel was originally criticized for writing a song that promoted drug use and masturbation. He strongly denies that this is the message and emphasises this in his liner notes to the song on "Songs in the Attic" with "so many friends shovelled under Long Island dirt. The miracle of modern chemistry killed them if Vietnam didn't". Originally written in 1971 it first appeared on Billy's eponymous 1973 album "Piano Man".

Answer: I'm in Heaven when you smile

Van Morrison creates one of his most upbeat and soulful songs here and critics agree that it is a joy to listen to. It first appeared on Van Morrison's album "St Dominic's Preview", however, sadly as a single, it only reached number 61 on Billboard's Hot 100. British band Dexys Midnight Runners had better luck with the track when they covered it on their 1982 album "Too-Rye-Ay". Their version of the song made it to number five on the UK singles charts.
