Answer: Idi Amin

Idi Amin was President of Uganda during the 1970s. His rule was marked by chaos, authoritarianism, human rights abuses and genocide. Amin was also known for eccentricity such as calling himself the Last King of Scotland and Conqueror of the British Empire. He was deposed in 1979 and spent the last decades of his life in exile in Saudi Arabia.

Answer: Queen Beatrix

Don't be fooled by the word "princess" because this is the full title of Queen Beatrix. Beatrix abdicated the Dutch throne in 2013 and thus lost her title as Queen of the Netherlands. However, she is still properly referred to as Queen Beatrix, even though she is technically now styled a princess.

She reigned from 1980-2013. Although she was a popular queen, she often stirred up controversy especially in the 1960s when she married Prince Claus, who had been a member of the Hitler Youth and was a suspected Nazi sympathizer.

Alexander the Great is commonly known as the King (or Basileus) of Macedon but his military prowess allowed him to conquer lands far and wide and rule over them, gaining him many more titles. Alexander died young, at the age of 32, but managed to conquer a large swathe of land stretching from Greece to India. He never lost a battle and his military strategies are still studied today.

Queen Victoria reigned from 1837-1901, which was the longest reign in Britain at the time of her death. Answer: Lydia Liliuokalani

Queen Lydia Liliuokalani was the last monarch of the independent Hawaii and was Hawaii's only queen. Her full title in English was By the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islands. In addition to being queen, Liliuokalani was a noted songwriter and wrote the love song "Aloha Oe".

Oliver Cromwell was Lord Protector of England from 1653-1658. His rule was characterized by a number of atrocities, mostly aimed at Roman Catholics who were persecuted. Cromwell was controversial during his lifetime as well, and after the restoration of the monarchy his body was dug up, hanged in chains and beheaded.
