Answer: Germany

Heinrich Nestle (1814-1890), known as Henri Nestlé, was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and founded the Nestlé Company. He trained as a pharmacist for four years, and, at the age of 20, he moved to Switzerland where he started to manufacture nut oils and carbonated mineral water.

After years of experiments, Nestlé, concerned with the high infant mortality rate, combined cow's milk with grains and sugar, and in 1867 launched "children flour", a substitute for breast milk, which quickly became popular.

In 1955, Kroc opened the first store franchise in Des Plaines, Illinois. From then on, in agreement with the McDonald brothers, he established franchises and made innovative changes to the fast food franchise system. Finally, in 1961 at the age of 59, he bought the company and established uniformity in operations, service and facilities.

Her mother, deeply religious, taught religion through children's and evangelical books, which were edited by Anna. Between 1871 and 1877, Anna wrote her only book: "Black Beauty", which she said was intended to convince people to treat animals better.

The book was published in 1877, five months before her death.

6. John Stith Pemberton is linked to the creation of which company?

Answer: The Coca-Cola Company

John Stith Pemberton (1831-1888) was an American biochemist who served in the Confederate States Army. In 1865, he suffered a sabre wound and the pain led him to an addiction to morphine. To get rid of his addiction, Dr. Pemberton started his experiments with morphine-free painkillers.

He began experimenting with coca leaves and kola nuts that culminated in the drug called "Pemberton's French Wine Coca". In Atlanta and Fulton County in 1886 the sale of alcoholic products was banned, so he had to think about a non-alcoholic alternative. Pemberton and the druggist Willis Venable made several attempts to find a formula which included blending the base syrup with carbonated water and decided to sell it like soda and not as medicine. Frank Mason Robinson, a marketing adviser, coined the name Coca-Cola, because the sound resembled other drugs sold at the time. Soon after Coca-Cola won the market, Dr. Pemberton fell ill and nearly went bankrupt.

In 1888 he sold the formula to the Atlanta pharmacist Asa Griggs Candler who, in 1892, founded the Coca-Cola Company.
