Rex Harrison identified her as his favourite leading lady for her role opposite him in the musical "My Fair Lady". She died on 20th January 1993.

Brandon's father Bruce died at the age of 32. Brandon was just 28. He died 31st March 1993. During filming of "The Crow", it was decided to shoot a scene involving use of a gun. The weapons co-ordinator had already gone home and the scene was shot without his permission.

A gun loaded with blanks was used but unknown to everybody, a small bullet head was lodged in the barrel and hit Brandon in the spine.

He left his estate to his male partner of 35 years. He died on 12th September 1993.
