Jeanette MacDonald (1903-1965) was an American actress and singer. She is best remembered for her roles in musical films with Maurice Chevalier including "The Love Parade", The Merry Widow" and then with Nelson Eddy including "Rose-Marie" and "Maytime". She appeared in operas, concerts, radio and television with a career spanning 50 years from 1909-1959.

Answer: Charles B. Macdonald

Charles B. Macdonald (1855-1939) was a pioneer in golf in the United States. He founded the Chicago Golf Club and built the first 18 hole golf course in Chicago in 1893. He won the first U.S. Amateur Championship in 1895 at the Newport Country Club, Rhode Island.

He was also responsible for the formation of the United States Golf Association. He is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Ronald MacDonald (1874-1947) was a Canadian athlete and was the winner of the second Boston Marathon in 1898. It was his first marathon and, amazingly, he took no fluids during the race. He graduated from Tufts Medical College in 1907 and lived and practised in the Port au Port Peninsula (Newfoundland, Canada) for over thirty years.

Lanny McDonald is Canadian and former professional ice hockey player. In a career spanning 16 years he played over 1,100 games scoring 500 goals. He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies and the Calgary Flames. It was with the Flames that he won the Stanley Cup in his final year at 36 years of age in 1989. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992.

Ramsay MacDonald (1866-1937) was a British politician and the first Labour Party Prime Minister. He was Prime Minister on two occasions - in 1924 (11 months) and from 1929-1935. He has been portrayed in movies, television and mentioned in novels.
