Carnegie is best known in America for the Carnegie Steel Company in Pittsburgh, which he sold for $480 million, in 1901, roughly the equivalent of $13.6 billion in today's money. With this money, he built Carnegie Hall and used the rest of his monies for several other Carnegie related enterprises.

He co-wrote, 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' but people associate Bob Geldof with everything. Midge had a great career with his band Ultravox, giving us such classics as 'Vienna' and 'Dancing with Tears in my Eyes'.

David Niven insisted until the day he died that he was Scottish, born in Kirriemuir, in Angus, although his birth certificate stated otherwise. His father, William Niven and grandfather, David Graham Niven were both of Scottish descent.
