"The Unsinkable Molly Brown", as she became famously known, was born Margaret Tobin in Missouri. She married James Joseph Brown in 1886, and they separated in 1909. In 1912 she was traveling in France when she heard that her oldest grandchild was ill, so she booked the first trip back home, which was on board the ill-fated Titanic.
Her actions on the night of the sinking are legendary. She apparently helped to evacuate other passengers, took an oar, helped to row the lifeboat she was in, and fought with the quartermaster who was on her lifeboat about turning it around to rescue more people.
After being rescued she organized a survivors committee of other first-class passengers, offering assistance to second and third-class passengers. A Broadway musical and movie have been made about her, both called "The Unsinkable Molly Brown."

Molly Ringwald is very well known for her roles in John Hughes teen movies, including "Pretty in Pink", "Breakfast Club", and "Sixteen Candles." She started acting at a very young age, playing the title role in the musical "Annie" in Los Angeles when she was ten. For her role in the 1982 movie "Tempest", she received a Golden Globe nomination. Apparently she turned down the lead roles in both "Pretty Woman" and "Ghost". Since she is fluent in French, she moved to Paris and starred in French movies.
She is also an accomplished singer and released a jazz record in 2013 called "Except Sometimes."

Best known as Molly Johnson, Margaret Leslie Johnson, is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for fronting the bands Alta Moda and Infidels. Johnson is a trained ballerina and starred in "Porgy and Bess" at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto while she was in grade school.
She released her first solo album in 2000, and has released several jazz albums following that first one. In 2008 she won a Juno for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year and received the Order of Canada in 2007. She has played for Nelson Mandela and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Mollie Sugden was an English comedy actress who has had roles in many British TV shows, including "Coronation Street", "The Liver Birds", "The Benny Hill Show" and "Steptoe and Son." She is best known for her role as Mrs. Slocombe, the saleswoman with the big colored hair and socially superior attitude on "Are You Being Served?" She was on the show from 1972 to 1985 and after that starred in "That's My Boy" and "My Husband and I."
5. Mollie Phillips

Mollie Phillips achieved a lot of firsts in her life. Born in 1907, she studied law and held various public appointments, including Justice of the Peace and General Commissioner of Income Tax. Despite studying law, she spent much of her time ice skating.
She paired up with Rodney Murdoch and together they won the British championship in 1933 and bronze at the European Figure Skating Championships. After Murdoch retired, Phillips skated solo. She was the first woman to carry the flag and lead her team at any Olympic Games.
In 1939 she was elected to the National Ice Skating Association and was the first woman to hold this role, which caused some controversy. She went on to become the first woman to referee a world championship at the 1948 World Figure Skating Championships.
6. Molly Shannon

Molly Shannon is perhaps best known for her time on "Saturday Night Live" where she developed many memorable characters, including Mary Katherine Gallagher, the awkward school girl. Shannon has been in a number of movies, including "Talladega Nights", "Never Been Kissed", and "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl." She was in "Other People" with Jesse Plemons and Bradley Whitford and won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress.

8. Molly Brant

Molly Brant, also known as Mary Brant, was an influential Mohawk leader during the American Revolution. She was pro-British and the consort of Sir William Johnson, who was the British Superintendent of Indian Affairs. They lived in the province of New York together and had eight children.
When he died, she moved from New York to her native village and, in 1777, sent Mohawk runners to warn the British of an impending attack. Eventually she fled to British Canada, settling in what is now known as Kingston, Ontario. Since 1994, she has been named a "Person of National Historic Significance" in Canada and in 1996 the city of Kingston proclaimed August 25 "Molly Brant Commemoration Day."
9. Mollie Steimer

Mollie Steimer was born Marthe Alparine in Russia in 1897. When she was fifteen her family moved to the USA. In 1918 she was arrested for printing and distributing material that denounced US military actions in Russia and she was sentenced to fifteen years in prison.
While out on bail she continued her activism and was arrested at least seven times. She was deported to Russia where she continued her work as an anarchist and anti-war activist. She was dismayed by what she saw happening in Russia and formed the Society to Help Anarchist Prisoners with her partner, Senya Fleshin.
She was arrested again and went on a hunger strike. She was deported to Germany and fled to France when Hitler took power. She was placed under surveillance in France and then transported to an internment camp, eventually escaping to Mexico where she lived out the rest of her life.
In Mexico she ran a photography studio but stayed connected with fellow anarchists throughout the world.
10. Molly Engstrom

Molly Engstrom is an American ice hockey player who participated in the 2006 US national women's team at the Olympics, taking home a bronze medal. She was a five-time member of the US women's national team, participating in several World events and taking home three gold medals.
In 2007 she was awarded top defenseman at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships. While in college she played as a Wisconsin Badger and in 2011, the Wisconsin prep school she attended introduced the "Molly Engstrom Award" for the top defensive player of the year.
