Answer: Ramsses II and Nefertari

In Ancient Egypt, little was said about pharaoh's wives. Although Ramsses had several official royal wives and even more 'lesser' wives and concubines, judging by the luxury of Nefertari's tomb in the Valley of the Queens and her temple at Abu Simbel, Ramsses must have regarded her with real love, as she appears by his side in many paintings and he bestowed on her honors that very few queens received.
2. Mark Anthony had met Cleopatra during a trip to oversee Roman territories. He fell in love with the queen and eventually divorced Octavia, sister to Octavian, whom he had married after Caesar's death. The fact that the Roman general had divorced a Roman to marry a foreigner caused Mark Anthony's reputation to suffer with the Romans and soon his old ally, Octavian, fought him for control of Rome.

When I visited Portugal and went to the City of Alcobaça,a guide showed me Inés' tomb across from King Pedro's and told me that after Pedro became king and sat the skeleton on the throne, he made all courtiers kneel and kiss her bony hand as she was crowned Queen of Portugal. It is said that Pedro and Inés were secretly married, but there is no proof of that.
