Mikhail Feodorovich was the first Romanov Tsar of Russia, he ruled from 1613-1645. Nikolai II was the last Tsar, he ruled from 1894-1917.

Answer: Alexander Palace

The Alexander palace is located in Tsarskoye Selo. It built in order of Catherine the Great for her favorite grandson, the future Tsar Alexander I. It was a present for him on his marriage. Later, however, the palace was the favorite residence of the last Russian tsar Nikolai II.
3. What caused the death of the last Tsar Nikolai II?

Answer: Murder

Nikolai II was murdered with his family. They were taken to the cellar room of the Ipatiev House and shot dead by the Bolsheviks. There had been rumors about the survival of the youngest Grand Duchess Anastasia and the Tsarevich Aleksei.

St.Petersburg was founded by Peter the Great in the mid 1700's.

Sofia became ruler of all Russia during the early years of Peter the Great and his brother Ivan. The brothers were much too young to rule so she became their regent. Later on Sofia was overthrown by Peter the Great's supporters. She was forced to take after the name Susanna.

The tsarevich did suffer from hemophilia. From his father the Czar he inherited the throne and from his mother the Czarina he inherited hemophilia. Czarina Alexandra was the grand-daughter of Queen Victoria. Hemophilia was passed on to Queen Victoria's decendants, from mother to son.

Lenin's brother was killed for his attempt to kill Alexander III.

Answer: No

Alexander's brother Nikolai was born heir, but because of Nicolai's early death in 1865, Alexander became heir. He was Czar from March 1881 (upon tyhe death of his father) to November 1894.

Answer: 5

Czar Nikolai II and Czarina Alexandra had 5 children together. Four daughters Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia, and a son the Tsarevich Aleksei.

It was during the Romanovs' visit to Queen Victoria. Nikolai was only 16 at the time and Alexandra was 12.
