Lloyd Bridges (1913-1998) was an American film, stage and television actor. Having appeared in over 150 films during his acting career from 1932-1998 he is also well remembered for his portrayal as the US Navy frogman Mike Nelson in the TV series "Sea Hunt" (1958-1961).
He was married to his wife Dorothy Simpson for 60 years (1938-1998) and they are the parents of the actors Beau and Jeff Bridges.

After spending time in prison on rape charges he regained his heavyweight title in 1996. He will also be remembered for the 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield when Tyson as disqualified for biting Holyfield's ear.
