Answer: Winston Churchill

Sir Winston Churchill was one of the great men of the twentieth century. Born in 1874 of an English father and American mother at Blenheim Palace, he became British Prime Minister in 1940, succeeding Neville Chamberlain. His rousing speeches during the war gave strength to the British people. He was also a Nobel Prize winner, being awarded the prize for literature in 1953.
2. We all are familiar with A.A. Milne's creation Winnie the Pooh, but he was also known by another name. What is it?

Answer: Edward Bear

The characters in "Winnie the Pooh" and "The House at Pooh Corner" are based on Milne' son and his toys. The movies creates an extra character Gopher, who does not appear in the books. Milne also wrote two books of verse for children, "When We Were Very Young" and "Now We Are Six".

Edward VIII became king on the death of his father, George V in January 1936. He abdicated in November of the same, in order to marry the American divorcee Wallis Warfield Simpson. He was succeeded by his brother George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II.

Winnie Mandela was involved in the fight against apartheid. Her husband received life imprisonment in 1964. She continued his work for the African National Congress. Then she was also sentenced and was in prison from 1969 - 1970. Although she was convicted of being involved in the kidnapping and beating of four men
in 1988, she was never imprisoned for this offence. Her marriage to Nelson Mandela, who was released from prison in 1990 and became president of South Africa in 1994, ended in divorce in 1996.
