And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them."

God promised the descendants of Israel who, through exile, captivity, and marriage with Gentiles had become assimilated and acculturated Gentiles, that they would find "grace in the wilderness". It's interesting to note that their exile was their atonement and that it was bloodless.

This incident is in reference to Cornelius, not a Jew mind you, and not a convert to Judaism, keeping the Laws of God written on his heart. Cornelius and Dorcas both gave alms to the needy, which is taught to result in honoring God and bringing Eternal Life. When Peter went to Dorcas' chambers, he found that she had died, then he prayed and presented her alive to the guests.

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well."

In verse 13 it is James speaking, and in verse 19 he gives his 'sentence' and the requirements that seemed good to the Holy Ghost are listed in verse 20, and again in verse 29. Interestingly, the Holy Spirit deemed these 'necessary things' for the Gentiles to follow, after the crucifixion.

KJV - Isaiah 7:8-14

"For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people. And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established. Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying, Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

Ahaz is of the house of David. The birth - or the name - was to be a sign to Ahaz. Also, in verse 8, a clear timeframe is given from that time. The sign was to appear during Ahaz's lifetime, within 65 years.

According to the Blue Letter Bible Concordance the Hebrew word 'shishshiym' means sixty (three score).

KJV - Matthew 24:11-12 "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."

From the Blue Letter Bible Concordance, we see that the Greek word 'anomia' is defined as iniquity, the condition of being without the law, because of being ignorant of it, violating it, or contempt for it.

KJV - Jeremiah 31:32-33
"Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people."

We can see in verse 33 that God's law remains. The only thing that has changed is the location of God's laws.
