1. Starting at the very beginning, who was Cain to Abel?

Answer: Brother

The first childbirth experience occurred to Eve when she gave birth to her firstborn son, Cain. Cain grew up to be a farmer while his younger brother grew up to be a shepherd. When Abel's sacrifice of a lamb was better received by God than Cain's sacrifice of vegetables, Cain killed his little brother. The story of Cain and Abel can be found beginning in Genesis 4.
2. Who was Abraham to Ishmael and Isaac?

Answer: Father

Abraham fathered his firstborn son Ishmael with Sarah's maidservant, Hagar. Years later, Sarah (at the age of ninety) gave birth to Isaac. Each brother grew up to be the head of a great nation. When Abraham died, Isaac and Ishmael came together to bury their father. The story of Isaac and Ishmael begins in Genesis 16 and Genesis 21.
3. How were Eunice and Timothy kin?

Answer: Mother and son

Eunice was a Jewish woman who married an unnamed Grecian man. Together, they had a son, Timothy. Timothy left Eunice when he went to journey with Paul as a missionary. Eunice's story can be found beginning in Acts 16:1.
4. Who was Kish to Jonathan and Michal?

Kish was the son of a man named Abiel. He fathered Saul who later became King. Jonathan and Michal were two of the children fathered by Saul. Both children were friends with David, Saul's enemy. Michal married David and Jonathan stayed friends with David until his untimely death. The story of Kish begins in I Samuel 9:1.
5. How were Elizabeth and Mary related?

The first time Elizabeth is mentioned is in Luke 1. She was the wife of Zacharias, the priest. She and her cousin Mary visited with each other when both women were pregnant.
6. How was Jezebel related to Ahab?

Answer: Wife

Jezebel was the evil wife of King Ahab. Jezebel was eventually thrown out the window by her subjects and left in the road to be eaten by dogs. Her story begins in I Kings 16.
7. What was the relationship between Orpah and Ruth?

Orpah and Ruth were married to the brothers Mahlon and Chilion. After their husbands died, Orpah went back to her family while Ruth stayed with her mother-in-law Naomi. Their story is in the book of Ruth.

Joseph and Reuben were the sons of Jacob. Reuben was the oldest child born to Jacob's wife Leah while Joseph was the oldest child born to Jacob's wife Rachel. Together, Reuben and Joseph had ten other brothers and one sister.
9. What was Dinah's relationship to Leah?

Answer: Daughter

Dinah was the only daughter Jacob had and the last child born to Leah. Her brothers killed the men of Shechem, son of Hamor, after he took advantage of their sister. Dinah's story begins in Genesis 34.
10. How were Elkanah and Hannah related?

Answer: Husband and wife

Hannah was the second wife of Elkanah, but Elkanah preferred Hannah over his first wife Peninnah. God blessed her with a son named Samuel after she was barren for so long. In exchange for the blessing of her son Samuel, Hannah gave him back to God and Samuel lived with Eli the high priest.

After Samuel was born, Hannah and Elkanah were blessed with more children. Hannah and Elkanah can be found in the book of I Samuel.
