Answer: Nile River turned bloody

The Egyptians considered the Nile River to be sacred. When God caused the plague upon the Nile River, it had devastating effects on the Egyptians as a whole because they fed their families and their animals with the water.
2. Second plague according to Exodus 8:5-14

Answer: Frogs

Frogs were a symbol of inspiration for the Egyptians because of their god, Osiris. When God sent frogs to the land of Egypt, the amphibians covered every inch of Egypt including the Egyptians houses and foods.
3. Third plague according to Exodus 8:16-18

Answer: Lice infestation

The Egyptians made themselves out to be a clean people, especially the priests. When God sent lice to plague them, the Egyptians were considered to be unclean.

Answer: Fly infestation

In some parts of Egypt an ox was sacrificed to the flies to keep them at bay. In Egypt, Beelzebub was considered a fly deity. By sending a plague of flies to Egypt,God was desecrating Beelzebub in the Egyptians' eyes.

Answer: Diseased cattle

A murrain is a term used to mean disease only associated with cattle and sheep. God caused a murrain among the Egyptian cattle that would have killed them. Cattle were sacred animals to the Egyptian. The Egyptian god Osiris was believed to inhabit a bull.
6. Sixth plague according to Exodus 9:8-11

Answer: Boils

On special occasions, the Egyptians would sacrifice people to their gods. With the ashes, the Egyptians would scatter them into the air hoping for a blessing from them. On God's orders, Moses took the ashes from a burnt offering and scattered them into the wind. When the ashes fell on the Egyptians, they immediately became boils on their skin.
7. Seventh plague according to Exodus 9:22-26

Answer: Hail

Egyptians were helpless when not even their gods could stop the hail that rained down on their crops, destroying them and the fruit bearing trees.
8. Eighth plague according to Exodus 10:12-19

Answer: Locust infestation

The Egyptians didn't have time to clean up after the destruction of hail before God sent a plague of locusts to devour what was left of the plants and trees in Egypt.

Answer: Darkness

Egyptians worshiped darkness as a god to them, but when God caused constant darkness it scared them. When God caused the darkness to cover Egypt, He allowed the Israelites to have light wherever they were sheltered.
10. Tenth plague according to Exodus 12:29-30

Answer: Death of firstborn

God caused this plague out of retribution for the Egyptians killing the male children of the Israelites. In causing the death of every first born Egyptian child, Pharaoh's son died, leaving the line of succession unfilled.
