Moses had married an Ethiopian woman which led Miriam and Aaron to speak against him. God's anger was fierce against them and Miriam became a leper. Moses requested instant healing for her but God told him that she should be shut out of the camp for seven days.

The journey of the Israelites was halted until the seven days were finished and Miriam was received into the camp again. (Numbers 12)

Despite his great anger that Elisha had not treated the situation as he had envisioned he obeyed the instructions and received his miracle. His flesh was restored and he recognized the greatness of God. (II Kings 5: 1-16)

This all changed when Satan engaged God in a conversation where God pointed out Job's faithfulness. When Satan received God's permission to touch all Job's possessions Job lost all his children and his great wealth. When Job remained faithful to God, Satan secured God's permission to touch Job's body. Job's wife told him to curse God and die but he told her that she spoke as one of the foolish women.

In the end Job got his miracle. He was healed and received two times more than he had before.

Paul would not allow them to do this and he preached to them about the Living God who they should serve.
