Andy Pettitte pitched in game one of the 1996 WS for the Yankees. This was the first WS game the Yankees were in since the 1981 WS. Pettitte not only started game one, he also had a spectacular regular season. He won 21 games making him the first Yankees 20-game winner since Ron Guidry.
