Answer: Lindsey Kildow

Lindsey Kildow (USA) has been steadily climbing up the rankings, but the 2003-2004 season proved to be her breakthrough year. Nicole Hosp, the young Austrian racer, broke her ankle running mid-season 2004.
2. Which of the following was Stanley Hayer's best World Cup result from 1994-1999?

Answer: 12th in Furano, Japan in 1995

While racing for the Canadian Team, Hayer had his best result in 1995. In Shiga Kogen he was actually 20th. In Park City he didn't finish in 1996, and the Breckenridge race was a Nor-Am Cup, not a World Cup. In 1999, Hayer changed his nationality and began to race for the Czech team.

Ricardas Panavas is a cross country skier who did compete in the Olympics, and Arvydas Sabonis is a famous basketball player.

Answer: Zali Steggall

Zali Steggall (AUS) won one of everything, including her country's first Olympic medal in alpine skiing. Riegler (NZE) won 4 World Cups during the 96-97 season, Nowen (SWE) won 4 World Cups in 1998 and Koznick had several wins during her career.
