Answer: Joe Gordon

In 1969 the Royals began as an expansion franchise with Joe "Flash" Gordon as manager. Gordon only lasted one year after posting a 69-93 record in 1969. He was followed by Metro (19-33) who only managed 52 games in 1970, Lemon (207-218) from 1970-72, then McKeon (215-205) from 1973-75.
2. Who was the first Philadelphia Phillies player to hit four home runs in a single game?

Answer: Ed Delahanty

Ed "Big Ed" Delahanty hit four inside the park home runs against the Chicago Cubs at West Side Park in 1896. Klein hit four home runs at Forbes Field against the Pirates in 1936, and Schmidt hit four home runs against the Cubs at Wrigley Field in 1976. Allen never hit four homers in a single game for the Phillies.
3. The Chicago White Sox were originally founded in 1894 as a minor league team in the old Western League. What was the first city and team name for the White Sox?
