2. This Bill has one of the most famous legs in baseball history, and displayed them in game six of the 1986 World Series. Which Bill was this?

Answer: Buckner

In the series against the Mets, a slow roller went through Buckner's legs at first base, and he was blamed for the Red Sox losing the game and the series. In 2008, Bill was finally honored at Fenway Park in a tearful ceremony to have all this finally put behind him.
3. I played on a team that was also rostered by my brother, and my father was also the manager. Which Bill am I?

Answer: Bill Ripken

Billy could never fill the shoes of his brother Cal Jr, while Cal Sr. managed the Baltimore Orioles in 1987 and 1988. Cal Jr. was the shortstop while Billy played second base. Although Cal Sr. left the team after the 1988 season, Billy stayed there until 1992.

Answer: Bill Dineen

Dineen was a Boston American in the first World Series played in 1903. He won three games and struck out 28 Pittsburgh Pirates in the series for the winning Americans. Four times in his career he won 20 or more games in a season, but retired with a 170-177 record.
5. Which Bill won 20 games in a season for both the Dodgers and Angels?

Answer: Singer

Singer played with Dodgers from 1964-1972, and was an integral part of the Dodgers starting rotation in the late 1960s. He won 20 games in 1969 wearing the Dodger-blue. He won another 20 with the 1973 Angels, the same team that saw Nolan Ryan set a season record by striking out 383 batters.
6. Which Bill played in three different leagues, and took three different teams to a World Series as a manager?

Answer: McKechnie

McKechnie played in the National, American, and Federal League over 11 seasons. He managed in the Federal League in 1915, then in the National League from 1922-1946. He took the Pirates, Cardinals, and Reds (twice) to the World Series, winning one with Pittsburgh and one with Cincinnati. Bill was a 1962 Hall of Fame inductee.
7. This umpire along with Tom Connolly were the first umpires ever inducted into the Hall of Fame. Who is this Bill?

8. This Bill played his entire career in a New York Giants uniform. He was one of few players in baseball history to hit .400 in a season. Who is this Hall of Fame great?

Answer: Bill Terry

11 times in his career, Bill hit over .300. He hit .401 in 1930, but there was no MVP to be had. It would have been interesting with the Cubs' Hack Wilson who hit 56 home runs in the season, to see who would have prevailed had the award been handed out. Terry went to three World Series with the Giants, winning one.

He batted .429 in the 1924 series against the Senators. The Hall of Fame took him in 1954.
9. Which Bill was nicknamed "Spaceman"?

Answer: Lee

Bill was a pitcher from 1969-1982, and played 10 of those seasons in a Red Sox uniform. From 1973-1975, he won 17 games in each season. Lee was known for his outrageous quotes, and once pitched in a space suit. His antics put him on manager Don Zimmer's dirt list. His only World Series appearance was with Boston in 1975 in a loss to the Reds. Bill also played for the Expos.
10. After 11 seasons playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates, this Bill later managed them for two seasons before going on to manage other teams for 12 seasons. Who is he?

Answer: Bill Virdon

Virdon was a Rookie of the Year with the 1955 Cardinals, then the rest of his career was as a Pirate. He managed the Pirates to a 1973 NL East crown, but lost the NLCS to the Reds. He also managed the Yankees, Astros, and Expos.
