1. What 2003 team, was once named the Philadelphia Athletics?

Answer: Oakland Athletics

The Oakland Athletics began their franchise as the Philadelphia Athletics, in the newly formed American League in 1901. Under the management of Connie Mack for 50 years, they finally moved to Kansas City for the 1955 season. After 13 seasons, the team moved to Oakland. Reggie Jackson was a rookie in Kansas City's final season, before moving with the club to Oakland in 1968.
2. Of the Boyer brothers, Ken and Clete, who was the oldest?

Answer: Ken

Ken was almost 6 years older than Clete. Ken played for 16 seasons mostly with St.Louis, while Clete also played 16 seasons, mostly with the Yankees and Atlanta Braves. Ken also had the better statistics than brother Clete. However, Ken went to 1 World Series while Clete went to 5. Both have 2 World Series home runs to their credit.
3. The famous early 1900s infield of 'Tinkers to Evers to Chance', played on which team?

Answer: Chicago Cubs

The other teams did not exist for another 50 years. From 1903-1910, this famous double-play combination started for the Cubs. They were a feared defensive tool in baseball. Chance the first baseman, was also the manager of the team. In this span, the Cubs won 4 National League pennants, including 2 World Series.

They also finished 2nd twice and 3rd twice. Johnny Evers, Joe Tinker, and Frank Chance, are all members of baseball's Hall of Fame.
