Answer: Lou Gehrig

As teammates for 12 seasons, these baseball greats hit a total of 862 home runs together in a Yankee uniform. Gehrig hit 351 and Ruth hit 511. Lou retired with 493 and Ruth 714.

Answer: Ernie Banks

The others never hit 100 in their entire career. Williams hit 319, Banks 329, but there was another punch on the Cubs in the same period. Third baseman Ron Santo banged out 300 home runs also. What a tremendous trio. Many fans cannot comprehend the absence of a World Series trip with these 948 home runs in these 13 seasons.

Answer: Don Drysdale

Don had 111 of the wins while Sandy struck his way out to 129. Drysdale won the Cy Young award in 1962, and Koufax won everything else listed. The two were Dodgers together from 1956-1966. Koufax retired in 1966 due to elbow problems, but still won 27 games in his final season. Drysdale died in 1993. Both humanitarians were inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame for immortalization.

He also won the MVP in 1969. Mays, a storied career in itself, was a 1951 Rookie of the Year himself, and added two MVP awards to his credit. Mays retired with 660 home runs while McCovey hit 521.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1939. Sweeney won only 65 games in his five-season career.
