Nick called the car: Moda S921. Later when he started the Simtek team, he called those cars with a similar name. (Simtek S941 and S951)

The Lotus 79 was and is the most beautiful Grand Prix car ever built.
3. In 1991 the Coloni team didn't have enough money to pay an engineer to design their new car. Who did design the 1991 Coloni C4?

Answer: Students of the University of Perugia

The students of the University of Perugia designed the C4. But it wasn't a great car. It was never seen in a race in 1991. Pedro Chaves and later Naoki Hattori never qualified the car. Even to prequalify was too difficult. The car was seen in 1992 when the Andrea Moda team entered it as a Coloni C4B.

They entered practice for the South African GP, but drivers Alex Caffi and Enrico Bertaggia couldn't enter the prequalifying. The team thought that they run the Coloni car because they took over the team.

But FIA decided that the Andrea Moda team was a new team and had to build their own cars.
4. From 1961 to 1964 Dutchman Carel Godin de Beaufort drove a Porsche 718. What was the nickname for that car?

The Porsche 718 first appeared in F1 in 1960. De Beaufort bought the car in 1961 and was still racing it in 1964. The car was by now outdated in every way. But Carel had no choice. The 718 was the only Grand Prix car he could fit in. Because he was so big, he couldn't fit in the much smaller cars of the early sixties.

The design by Michel Tetu was something new. The result was a terrible car that never came close to some results.

The last race he had entered was the Dutch GP on July 3rd 1982 for the Theodore team, but he came back with March on 25th October 1992. That is more than 10 years. The record stood in 2002.

In 1952 Alberto Ascari raced in Indianapolis in a Ferrari 375. He retired after 34 laps with gear case problems. It was the only time a European F1-driver entered the Indy 500 during those years. Only one time did a regular Indy 500 driver enter a Formula 1 race in those 11 years.

It was Roger Ward in 1959 in the US-GP in Sebring with a Kurtis Midget. According to some, he holds the unwanted distinction of having raced the most unsuitable machine ever to appear in a Grand Prix. The car was designed to race in US-style oval races.

The car didn't have a brakepedal, but a brakehandle on the outside of the car. It was a nightmare to race the car. He retired after 20 laps with clutchproblems. In the sixties a lot of European drivers and constructors entered the Indy 500 (Graham Hill, Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart and others) But the race wasn't an official Formula 1 Grand Prix any more.

Roberto Guerrero started his Formula 1 career in 1982 with the Ensign team. It wasn't the best of cars, and points were impossible to get. By the end of the year the Ensign team partnered with the Theodore team. The team was called Theodore and Guerrero was one of the drivers. Second driver was Johnny Cecotto.

The car was slightly better than the year before, but Roberto couldn't score any points. Johnny however did score a point in Long Beach. It would be the last for the team, because the team folded at the end of the year. Roberto went on to drive Indycars in the US, where he won 2 races in 1987.
