Answer: Steve Jackson

This great try, scored during extra time, made the score 19-14 in favour of Canberra (the final score of the match). At halftime Balmain were up 14-2.
2. What year did Benny Elias make his State of Origin debut?

Answer: 1985

Came in as a youngster playing for Balmain.
3. Who kicked the only points in game one of the 1995 State of Origin series?

Answer: Wayne Bartrim

The lowest score in origin history, 2-0 to Queensland. Coached by Fatty Vautin the Canetoads went on to a complete a remarkable 3-0 whitewash.
4. Who was the first captain of the Canberra Raiders?

Answer: David Grant

Canberra came into the competition in 1982, along with Illawarra. David passed away in 1994.

Graham became the first non Queenslander to coach the Maroons. At first the public in Queensland was very sceptical, but after they won the series he became an honourary Queenslander.
14. Whose jaw did Les Boyd break in the 1983 State of Origin series?

Answer: Daryl Brohman

He was later suspened for 8 months and Brohman took court action on Boyd. The incident cost Brohman the chance to play for Australia.

Answer: Terry Lamb

Terry was binned for holding down in the tackle while Manly were hot on attack. Manly couldn't capitalise on his absence, however, and Canterbury went on to complete a surprise victory.
