Answer: Cleveland Browns

It was the second straight year in the finals for the L.A. Rams, and their second straight loss. In 1949 the Eagles beat the Rams, then in 1950 the Browns won the title. The score was 30-28.
2. 1951

Answer: Los Angeles Rams

The Rams finally broke through and won a title after making the title game three straight years. They also got to avenge the previous season's loss with a 24-17 victory over the Browns. Lou Groza of the Browns kicked a championship game record 52-yard field goal.
3. 1952

Answer: Detroit Lions

The Browns made their third straight title game, and lost for the second consecutive time. This time the Detroit Lions won the game 17-7. The Lions tied for the division championship with the defending champion Rams with 9-3 season records. Detroit had beaten the Rams twice, but still forced a playoff game, hosted by Detroit. They won that game 31-21 before advancing to the title game.
4. 1953

Answer: Detroit Lions

The 53 title game was a rematch of the Lions and Browns from 52, with the same basic outcome. Detroit won the game 17-16 for its second straight NFL championship. The game was tied heading into the fourth quarter, where Cleveland scored two field goals to take a 6-point lead before the Lions scored the winning touchdown.
5. 1954

Answer: Cleveland Browns

For the third straight year the Lions and Browns met in the title game. After losing the previous two matchups, the Browns put on a beating in a 56-10 thumping. The week before the two teams had met in the regular season finale, with the Lions winning 14-10.
6. 1955

Answer: Cleveland Browns

The Browns made their sixth straight championship game appearance. The back-to-back championship was their third win in that stretch. They beat the 38-14.
7. 1956

Answer: New York Giants

The Giants won the game 47-7 over the Bears. It was the first time since 1949 that neither the Browns or Rams were in the title game. The Rams wouldn't return to a championship game until 1980.
8. 1957

Answer: Detroit Lions

The Lions and Browns met in the title game for the fourth time in six seasons. The Lions won three of those games. In 57 they won 59-14 to avenge their own blow out loss from 1954.
9. 1958

Answer: Baltimore Colts

This was the first NFL playoff game to go into sudden death overtime. The Colts won the game 23-17. This was also the first championship game to be televised nationwide, it aired on NBC.
10. 1959

Answer: Baltimore Colts

After trailing most of the game, the Colts won 31-16 in a rematch of the previous season's title game. They scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to stage the comeback.
