It was the second straight year in the finals for the L.A. Rams, and their second straight loss. In 1949 the Eagles beat the Rams, then in 1950 the Browns won the title. The score was 30-28.

The Rams finally broke through and won a title after making the title game three straight years. They also got to avenge the previous season's loss with a 24-17 victory over the Browns. Lou Groza of the Browns kicked a championship game record 52-yard field goal.
