Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 1960

Answer: Philadelphia Eagles

After the Giants lost two straight title games, they failed to make it this season. Instead the Eagles bested the Packers 17-13. The Packers took an early 3-0 lead, but trailed 10-6 at halftime. Both teams scored just 7 points in the second half.
2. 1961

Answer: Green Bay Packers

The Packers returned to the title game having lost the year before. The Giants, after a one-year hiatus returned for the third time in four seasons. The Packers won the game 37-0. It was a scoreless tie after the first quarter, but Green Bay scored 24 points before halftime anyway.
3. 1962

Answer: Green Bay Packers

In a rematch of the 1961 title game the Packers once again won. The score was much closer (16-7) this season though. It was the fourth time in five years the Giants lost in the title game.
4. 1963

Answer: Chicago Bears

The Giants made the title game for the third straight year, and fifth time in six seasons, but lost once again. It was their last title game appearance in before the Super Bowl era. The Bears won 14-10.
5. 1964

Answer: Cleveland Browns

The Browns won their 4th title in franchise history (1950, 1954, 1955 and 1964), over the Colts this time. The final score was 27-0. Neither team scored in the first half.
6. 1965

Answer: Green Bay Packers

The Packers bested the defending champion Browns 23-12 in the final NFL title game where the winner was automatically the Champion. Starting the next season there was a crossover game with the rival AFL and the Super Bowl era would begin.
7. 1966

Answer: Green Bay Packers

This was the first year there was a Super Bowl as well. The Packers went on to win that game too. It was their second straight NFL title. They beat the Cowboys in the NFL title game and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl I.
8. 1967

Answer: Green Bay Packers

The Packers won their third straight NFL title game, and became the first team to ever win back-to-back Super Bowls as there had only been two played at that time. The Packers beat the Cowboys for the second straight season in the NFL title game, and then bested the Oakland Raiders. It was the fifth NFL title in seven years for the Packers.
9. 1968

Answer: Baltimore Colts

The Colts won the NFL championship, but then lost to the American Football League's New York Jets in Super Bowl III. The Colts won the title game 34-0, before falling 16-7 in the Super Bowl. It was the first time the AFL won the Super Bowl.
10. 1969

Answer: Minnesota Vikings

The AFL repeated as Super Bowl Champions when the Kansas City Chiefs won that game 23-7. The Vikings had won the NFL championship 27-7 over the Browns. This was the final year before the AFL-NFL merger, and therefore the final NFL title game.
