1. What was the previous acronym of the AFL (Australian Football League)?

Answer: VFL (Victorian Football League)

The VFL (Victorian Football League) was the predominant football league in Australia. In order to progress the sport, the VFL decided to expand nationally during the 1990s. In 1990, the VFL changed the acronym to AFL (Australian Football League) to reflect the league's national perspective.
2. The Brownlow Medal was created and named after AFL Hall of Famer Charles Brownlow. Every season, the Brownlow Medal is awarded to a player under what circumstances?

Answer: Fairest and best player during the regular season
