Answer: Joe Adcock

Adcock had 4 home runs and a double with the Braves in July of 1954 against the Dodgers. He hit 23 home runs and 27 doubles that year. Ty Cobb once had 16 total bases in a game.
2. Pitcher Carl Hubbell set a record for winning how many consecutive games?

Answer: 24

Hubbell won 24 with the Giants overlapping the 1936-1937 seasons. His seasons totals were 26-6 and 22-8 those seasons. He retired with 253 wins over his 16 seasons all with the Giants.
3. How old was pitcher Satchel Paige in his rookie season?

Answer: 42

In 1948 he was a Cleveland rookie and pitched in 27 games. His season record was 6-1.
4. What 20th Century pitcher was the first to strikeout 18 batters in a game?

Answer: Bob Feller

Feller was a laser with Cleveland on October 2, 1938. He downed 18 Detroit Tigers. Sandy Koufax was the first to ever do this twice in 1959 and 1962.
5. Who won the 1950 World Series?

Answer: Yankees

The Yankees beat Philadelphia 4 games to 0. Although skunked, the Phillies were in every game until the last out.
