Rob Blake was one of the most defensively strong d-men of all-time and arguably the Los Angeles Kings' best defensemen ever. Blake won one Stanley Cup in 2001 with the Colorado Avalanche alongside legends Ray Bourque, Joe Sakic, and Adam Foote.

Chelios was one of he longest serving players of all-time, playing a whopping 1651 regular season games along with 268 playoff games. Chelios posted 185 goals, 763 assists, 948 points, and a plus minus of plus 350 over the course of his career in the regular season. He also won the James Norris Trophy twice for Defenseman of the Year in 1988-89 and 1995-96.

Foote was one of the many Colorado Avalanche player that retired in the 2010-11 season. He was able to win two Stanley Cups in 2001 alongside Joe Sakic and Ray Bourque, and also won one in 1996. Foote played 1107 games in his regular season career. However, Foote only scored 66 goals, 234 assists, and exactly 300 points in his 19-year career. Foote won an Olympic Gold Medal in 2002 at Salt Lake with Team Canada.

Answer: Mike Van Ryn

Van Ryn was acquired by the Toronto Maple Leafs for Bryan McCabe in an offseason deal that sparked much controversy. However, Van Ryn played extremely well in his first 27 games with the Buds playing strong defensively and scoring 11 points. However, that night things did not go well, and although the Leafs organization was patiently awaiting Van Ryn's return, he was never able to play NHL hockey again.

He played in 353 regular season games, scoring 30 goals and 99 assists for 129 points. Van Ryn never won a Stanley Cup as he only played nine playoff games all with the St. Louis Blues in 2001-02. Van Ryn became the assistant coach for the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL after his retirement.
