The Brooklyn Americans, played one season (1941-142) before becoming defunct. They were formerly the New York Americans (1925-41).

Answer: Quebec Bulldogs

The Bulldogs, were scheduled to play in the 1917-18 season, but sat out the first two NHL seasons, and took the ice in 1919-20. However, they weren't there for long. For the 1920-21 season, they became the Hamilton Tigers.
