1. The great Mel Ott managed in the Major Leagues?

Answer: True

This great New York Giant, who retired with 511 home runs, turned around and managed the New York club from 1942 to 1948. He and the Giants, could only muster a best 3rd place finish in 1942. He was a player-manager all but one year with the Giants.
2. What team franchise was once known as the "Snakes"?

Answer: No team was

No team was known as the 'Snakes', however, the Snakes is a much better name than some of the old-time names in the Majors such as Beaneaters, Bridegrooms, Bees and Rustlers, just to name a few.
3. Which of the following players was NOT inducted into the Hall of Fame?

Answer: Greg Pinchbeck

McPhee played for Cincinnati from 1882-1899 and was inducted in 2000. Smith was a Negro-League player and was inducted into the Hall in 2001, and Stearnes was also a Negro-League player. He was inducted into the Hall in 2000. The 20th century never saw Greg in the Hall.
4. Which of the following greats was the first to get 200 RBIs in a season?

Answer: None listed

Wilson leads those listed with 191 in 1930, which was the closest any 20th century player came to. Gehrig had 184 in 1931, and Hank Greenberg ran 183 in 1937.
5. How many home runs did Jimmie Foxx retire with?

Answer: 534

'The Beast', also known as 'Double X', played 11 seasons with the Athletics and 7 with the Red Sox. Amongst Foxx's greatest feats were 58 home runs in 1932 with Philadelphia, and breaking the 50 barrier again in 1938 with Boston.
