Stuart Pearce scored Forest's only goal in the 2-1 defeat by Spurs with a free-kick which was the result of the tackle Paul Gascoigne did on Gary Charles but ended up injuring himself. Des Walker scored an own goal to give Spurs the 2-1 win.
