Chuck Daly led the Detroit Pistons to back to back championships in 1989 and 1990. He was inducted in to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994. Daly retired from coaching in 1999.
2. What year did the "Dream Team" participate in the Summer Olympics?

Answer: 1992

The 1992 Summer Olympics were held in Barcelona, Spain.

Answer: Larry Bird and Magic Johnson

Bird and Johnson were great friends that always had a famous rivalry during their years playing for Boston and Los Angeles, respectively.

Thomas was selected for the USA team in the 1980 Olympics but did not play due to the US boycott. There were rumors that Thomas's rivalry with Michael Jordan was the reason he was not included on the 1992 team. There is no way of knowing if these rumors were true or not.

Many believed that Shaquille O'Neal should have been chosen for the team over Laettner.
